Press about Irena Grainge

Soprano Irena Grainge has discovered a little-known
side of Chopin which she is delighted to share with
music lovers. Grainge recorded From the Heart with
pianist Alan Kogosowski, who was visiting from the U.S.

A thwarted love affair conducted across hundreds of
kilometres inspired Frederic Chopin to pen his
intimate feelings in a series of songs. But few have
heard them. Now Melbourne based Polish soprano
Irena Grainge has dusted off these forgotten fragments
of the romantic era and recorded the complete set of 19
songs, accompanied by leading New York based
Chopinist Alan Kogosowski. From the Heart:
Frederic Chopin - Songs
is the first Australian
recording of Chopin's songs sung in the original language.

We did not have to wait long for Alan Kogosowski and
IRENA GRAINGE to prove that professionalism is the domain of these artists. Both became hosts to our hearts, thoughts awakening feelings and longings.

Irena Grainge delighted me with her creations and voiceof a Diva no smaller than that from La Scala. "Kwiaty Polskie" is already a professional cultural occurence in the life of Australian Poles.
